In partnership with Union of Concerned Scientists and Citizens Climate Lobby, I organized and hosted a free social media training session for activists, environmentalists, concerned scientists and citizens here in Indianapolis!
A total of 10 people came out to learn about ways to manage their social accounts and reach more people with their important and urgent messages! It was a pleasure to meet everyone there and learn about their organizations doing wonderful, positive work in the world.
After the event a very nice man named Scott came up to me, introduced himself and told me about his organization and the work they are doing. The following day, I received some really motivating feedback from him.
“This was the training in the use of social media for public interest advocacy that I have waiting for. So well organized, demonstrated and responsive to the attendees’ needs and interests. I learned a lot and look forward to the next offerings. Thanks.”
Thank you to everyone who came out. There was a lot of great energy. It was requested that I organize a Part 2 and 3 to make this a series, so be on the lookout for future training events!
This event was held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on March 11, 2018 from 1pm – 3pm. It was free and open to the public.
