EP #2 – CH. 2: Duality with Dori Chandler

Dori is an environmental planner, climate activist, and educator. She works with non-profits, governments, universities, and faith communities to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, eco-justice, and waste reduction and reuse.

She is the statewide coordinator and group leader with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, an organization working to create the political will for a livable world by passing Climate Change Legislation, and a board member with Hoosier Interfaith Power & Light. She also works with students at Butler University in Indiana.

For episode two of The Belief Books, I decided to jump to chapter two right away, which I named “Duality.” For chapter two I’ve decided to explore the  topic of science and faith. I’m interested in how people see each of those realms and how they interact. Are the disconnected or do they overlap? How do people define faith? And what role does science have to play in all of this?

I was connected with Dori after I recorded a Citizen’s Climate Lobby sponsored event up in Michigan. I realized pretty fast that I needed to connect with the Indianapolis chapter so I could get involved. That’s how I met Dori Chalder, who I now consider a consistent motivator and friend.

I’ve already been getting messages and feedback on this project which is really encouraging. And I look forward to getting more suggestions or questions as I keep posting more episodes.

Here’s a motivating tweet I got early on from someone who goes by Nurture Nature (@NNUS) on Twitter.

“Love The Belief Books concept! You need to post the interviews on YouTube so you can post them on Twitter and elsewhere easily. BEST!”

  1. Hello ,

I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive. Was thinking about starting using analytics. Do you recommend it?
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon.

    P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?

    Regards
    Jan Zac

    1. Hi Jan, thank you for visiting the site and for your comments! I really appreciate it.

I haven’t started to advertise this series on any platform yet. I’ve just been doing gorilla social media marketing. I use Google Analytics and Monster Insights which is a free insights plugin for WordPress. I definitely recommend using analytics of some kind. CrazyEgg is also a pretty awesome, extremely detailed analytic tool.

I will definitely check your site out and give you my feedback. I would be happy to continue our discussion about collaboration and entrepreneurship through email. Feel free to reach out at beliefbooks@gmail.com! I look forward to talking with you more.
